Meet Our Staff
Chelsea has been a Registered Nurse for 17 years. She worked in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and the Emergency Department at Seattle Children’s Hospital before settling into Dermatology and joining us at Modern Dermatology. Skin care is a lifelong passion and Chelsea loves helping MD patients achieve their skin care goals and maintain beautiful healthy skin. She works 3 days a week performing the Clear + Brilliant® Laser, Exilis® radiofrequency, Emface® facial treatments, and Emsculpt Neo® body contouring. Outside of the office you can find her in West Seattle spending time with her husband, two young children, and her adorable Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Nora.
Maren is a certified Master Aesthetician with more than 10 years of experience in clinical skincare. Maren studied at the renowned Dominelli International College of Esthetics in Burnaby, British Columbia. After completing this intensive program, she went on to receive her CIDESCO diploma, the highest honor in the field of Aesthetics. Her international credentials and personal talent have allowed her to treat clients in exclusive spas around the world before returning to the Pacific Northwest.</p> <p>Her passion lies in improving her clients’ most challenging skin concerns including acne, melasma, and milia. Maren is dedicated in providing exceptional service and outcomes through total skin care. She loves to share her knowledge about a wide range of treatments and products to create tailored treatment plans for outstanding results.
Kiria is a highly-skilled Master Aesthetician, who works diligently to deliver a results-driven, customized treatment. She believes in a comprehensive approach to skin health, using a combination of skin care products and treatment devices. Kiria holds a Master Esthetics Diploma from the National Institute of Medical Aesthetics.</p> <p>Hailing from Brazil, Kiria is truly passionate about using technology to yield the best outcome for clients. She has worked exclusively in the medical esthetics industry since 2012 and has been working as a National Trainer since 2016 for the prestigious National Institute of Medical Aesthetics, traveling around the country teaching the Comprehensive Laser Course, Advanced Exfoliations, and Body Contouring.</p> <p>Kiria is new to the Pacific Northwest and is loving exploring the beautiful scenery with her husband and children. As a self-proclaimed foodie, she also enjoys discovering the diversity of new food the area offers.
Administrative Staff
Wendy joins Modern Dermatology with over 20 years of experience in practice management. She comes with an extensive background in healthcare including aesthetics. She oversees the daily operations of our practice and is committed to supporting the staff as well as providing excellent patient care. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her husband and exploring the numerous outdoor recreations the PNW has to offer.
Trisha has eight years of dermatology billing experience and is a certified dermatology biller and coder. She is extremely knowledgeable and a great resource in the ever-changing times of insurance plans. During her free time, Trisha loves to go camping with her family and friends and going off-roading. She also has two dogs that she loves to pieces are the “king” and “queen” of the house.
Medical Staff
Mellisa is a native to Seattle and has been working in dermatology for over ten years. She previously worked in Mohs surgery and has worked with Dr Grabowski for the last 3+ years in general dermatology. Mellisa truly enjoys the long-lasting relationships she has developed with her patients and assisting in their ongoing preventive skin care needs. Outside of work she enjoys hiking, camping, traveling and spending time with friends and family.
Margaret was born and raised in New Orleans, LA and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Communications from James Madison University in Virginia. After working in advertising in New York City, she moved to Maui and attended University of Hawaii for her nursing degree, then later moved to Seattle. Margaret has two years of nursing experience in primary care and three years at Modern Dermatology. When not spreading her Southern charm around the office, Margaret loves to bake and decorate cakes for her friends and family.
Rachel obtained her Bachelor’s degree in nursing from Seattle University and also holds a master aesthetician license. She is passionate about helping others become happy and healthy, inside and out. Prior to working at Modern Dermatology, Rachel worked as a labor and delivery nurse at Swedish Medical Center for 8 years. During her free time, Rachel enjoys spending time with her friends, trying out new restaurants, hiking, and going to different art shows. She is also an avid traveler often visiting her family and relatives in Hawaii and Japan.
After working for the American Cancer Society and Overlake Hospital, Shannon completed a Bachelor’s degree in nursing from MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston. Prior to working at Modern Dermatology, Shannon worked as a nurse at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance. She is passionate about preventative health and wellness and enjoys continuity with her patients. Outside her interests in dermatology, Shannon enjoys cooking, traveling, hiking, skiing, hot yoga, and spending time with friends and family.
Brooke was born and raised in Austin, TX and recently moved to Seattle in 2020. She has been a Medical Assistant for 15 years, she graduated from Texas State University with BA in Psychology and minor in Sociology. Prior to working with Modern Dermatology, Brooke has worked in primary care, OB/GYN, pediatrics, orthopedics/sports medicine, and urology. Outside of the clinic Brooke enjoys spending time with her family, and is enjoying the break from 100 degree Texas summers and taking in the Seattle outdoors!
Marie has worked in the medical field for 10 years. She is passionate about delivering quality patient care and learning about the newest treatments for medical and cosmetic dermatology. She has worked with Dr Grabowski for three years and is a true foodie at heart--you can usually find her exploring local restaurants when she is not at work. She also enjoys reading, long walks with her dog and is an avid sports fan.
Laura was born and raised in Seattle. She received her bachelor’s degree at Washington State University and her Bachelor of Nursing from Seattle University. Laura worked on the post operative surgical floor at Swedish Issaquah for 3 years and then went on to assist the elderly in their homes for 3 years. She has always had an interest in dermatology and joined our team in June of 2021. When Laura is not working, she enjoys working out, cooking, and hosting dinner parties for her friends and family.
Anne was born and raised in Palo Alto, California. She moved to Seattle and obtained her nursing degree at Seattle Central College. Before Modern Dermatology, Anne worked as a nurse in Oncology and as a circulator in the Operating Room. Having always had an interest in skin care, Anne could not be more excited to be a part of the team at Modern Dermatology. During her free time, she enjoys exploring the PNW, trying new recipes and spending time with friends.
Summer was born in St. Louis Missouri, but raised here in the PNW. She is married and has two beautiful daughters and an adorable but mischievous Doberman Pincher, Ripley. Summer went to Shoreline Community College, where she received her nursing degree. After nursing school, she worked at Swedish Medical Center as a Postpartum RN for 9 years helping families navigate the ins and outs of parenthood. Now finding a home at Modern Dermatology, Summer brings her passion for educating, by sharing the latest Cosmetic & Medical treatments as well as skin care health and routines that MD offers with our patients. Outside of the office Summer loves spending time with her family & friends, working out, hiking, or catching the latest Marvel movie at the local theater in West Seattle.
